Some sessions stick with you, not just because of how beautiful they are, but because of the story behind them. This engagement session with one of the sweetest couples from Heartland Baptist College in Oklahoma was one of those.
Here’s the catch: they’re not allowed physical contact during the school semester. Yep, you read that right — no holding hands, no hugs, no leaning close. But if you know me, you know I love a good challenge (especially when it’s for people who mean so much to each other).
What made this shoot so special was how much their connection still shined through. Every shared laugh, every knowing glance, every moment of quiet joy—they didn’t need touch to tell their story. Their love spoke loud enough on its own.
As an Oklahoma engagement photographer, I always look for ways to make sessions feel authentic and comfortable, no matter what the circumstances are. Whether we’re chasing sunlight in downtown OKC, exploring golden fields, or capturing something a little different like this - my goal is always the same: to create photos that feel like you.
This session reminded me that love doesn’t always have to be shown—it can simply be felt.
